About this file
Attachment E is a Cost Proposal Worksheet for a Magnetic Tape Library procurement by the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The document outlines detailed cost requirements for vendors proposing a 225 PB+ tape library solution, including specific pricing instructions for shipping, installation, setup, and configuration costs. Vendors must provide an itemized cost breakdown covering the complete tape library with 20 tape drives, peripheral equipment, and software, along with pricing for optional expansions such as additional tape drives and media storage.
The worksheet requires vendors to submit annual maintenance costs for a base term of one year and one month, plus four additional option years, covering hardware and software maintenance for the tape library and potential drive expansions. The pricing must remain valid for one year beyond the acceptance of the library, with cost tables specifying rates for the base term and subsequent option years from August 2025 through August 2030. The document also requests vendors to outline any additional items or options for expanding the library's capabilities beyond the specified requirements.
