SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Review SA18 Proposal Content carefully – Offeror to submit a separate Business and Technical Proposals.

2) Insurance is required (See Contract Clause 3.4.1-12 Insurance (Jul 1996) for required coverage limits).

3) Payment and Performance Bonds Required.

4) Set Aside: This procurement is considered a small business set-aside.

5) NAICS Code: 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors – small business size standard of $16.5 Million.

6) Site Visit: A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 9:00AM Central time. Due to security requirements, all attendees must present a valid photo ID (i.e. state driver’s license) to gain access to the site. All contractors must RSVP with firm and attendee names no later than 48 hours in advance of the site visit to Melody.Mcgovern@faa.gov and Ian.Hoover@faa.gov. Individuals not on the official list will be denied access. Engineer. All attendees will be required to follow the Facility COVID protocol in place for that day. Please bring a mask.

The site visit is not mandatory, but highly encouraged, so that the offeror and potential subcontractors can verify existing conditions, quantities of materials, and amount of work required. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that their offer reflects all work and time required to accomplish this project. The dimensions, measurements, and quantities of materials listed in the specifications and on the construction drawings are estimated and are presented to give the contractor an idea of the total scope of work. Any attempts to RSVP past the deadline date may not be approved.

7) Solicitation Questions: Any questions related to the RFO, specifications, and drawings, including questions resulting from the site visit, must be submitted in writing. Questions are due no later than August 17, 2022 by 4pm central time. Questions and their applicable answers will be incorporated into the RFO by formal amendment. Any clarification received verbally and not incorporated into the RFO through an amendment will not be part of the resultant contract and should not be considered when submitting an offer.
