About this file

This document is Amendment No. 4 to AHCA Contract No. MED216, an agreement between the State of Florida, Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Florida Medical Schools Quality Network, Inc. The amendment modifies an existing contract focused on healthcare research and reporting, specifically expanding the scope of work related to sickle cell disease studies and Medicaid recipient analysis.

The amendment increases the contract amount by $250,000.00, bringing the total contract value to $847,965.00, and introduces a new biennial Sickle Cell Disease Report project. The vendor will conduct comprehensive research including identifying the total number of Medicaid recipients diagnosed with sickle cell disease, analyzing healthcare utilization patterns, tracking emergency room and hospital admissions, examining demographic characteristics, assessing payment methodologies, and consulting with specialized sickle cell disease research centers. The report will be submitted to various state officials and published on the agency's website, with the first report due by November 1, 2024, and subsequent reports every two years thereafter. The contract includes specific deliverables with associated financial amounts and performance standards, with potential financial consequences for late or non-compliant submissions.
