About this file
This document is Amendment No. 2 to AHCA Contract No. MED216, an agreement between the State of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Florida Medical Schools Quality Network, Inc. The amendment modifies an existing contract, with signatures from Dr. Charles Lockwood, SVP USF Health and Dean of Morsani College of Medicine, and Tom Wallace, Deputy Secretary of Medicaid, dated August 2022.
The amendment focuses on a Sickle Cell Disease Study project, increasing the contract amount by $197,037.00 to a total of $545,002.00. The vendor is required to conduct a comprehensive study on Medicaid enrollees with sickle cell disease, including identifying total patient populations, analyzing healthcare utilization patterns, examining expenditures, and assessing clinical treatment programs. The study mandates detailed reporting on patient demographics, health care utilization, and pharmaceutical services, with two key deliverables: a draft report due November 1, 2022 ($118,222.20) and a final draft report due December 1, 2022 ($78,814.80). The study is to be submitted to various state officials, including the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker, and relevant health departments by February 1, 2023.
