Summary of DEP Contract No. BS033, Amendment No. 1

This document is Amendment No. 1 to a contract entered into on August 28, 2014, between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Santa Cruz Construction, Inc. The amendment, executed in 2014, modifies the original contract through corrections and revisions to multiple paragraphs and administrative provisions. The contractor is based in Merritt Island, Florida, with Lance Rodriguez serving as the contractor's contract manager, while Marisa Rhian represents DEP as the department's contract manager for administrative matters.

The amendment primarily addresses administrative and operational procedures rather than substantive changes to goods or services. Key modifications include updates to payment methods through Task Assignment Notification Forms and Task Assignment Change Order Forms, revised notice and communication protocols, dispute resolution procedures, and public records compliance requirements under Florida law. Additional changes address record-keeping and audit standards in accordance with US GAAP, tax exemption policies for state purchases, employment eligibility verification through E-Verify, MyFloridaMarketPlace transaction fee requirements, and counterpart execution provisions for contract amendments. The amendment clarifies the contractor's obligations regarding public records management, confidentiality protections, and cooperation with the department's Inspector General for investigations and audits. Specific pricing terms, contract value, or detailed service descriptions are not contained in this amendment document.
