About this file
This is Addendum #1 to the bid solicitation BL020-22 for Playground Replacement at Collins Hill Park issued by Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in Georgia on March 1, 2022. The addendum provides critical clarifications and answers to bidder questions regarding the playground replacement project. Key project parameters include a mandatory on-site work start date of June 1, 2022, and specific requirements for handling existing engineered wood fiber, with the top 4 inches permitted to be relocated within the park while remaining material must be removed. Park staff will handle tree removal and retaining wall cleaning following the removal of existing materials. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on page 10 of the bid document.
The addendum addresses logistical and operational requirements essential for bid preparation. Access to the pavilion playground is designated from the park drive near the second parking lot, with contractors required to avoid tree canopies and existing storm drainage systems. Staging areas and temporary storage, including dumpster placement, must be located in the baseball playground parking lot, second section, second bay, with contractors responsible for providing temporary fencing around the staging area. Critically, all bidders must submit new drainage plans with their bids, listed under "Drainage Materials" in the equipment list. Concrete ramps will feed into the playground area. The addendum includes attachments with a pre-bid conference sign-in sheet and aerial photos identifying access points and staging locations to guide contractor logistics planning.
