About this file

This document summarizes an STI SP001 formal external inspection report for an aboveground storage tank (AST) located at the A.A.S.F. #1 Lexington fuel storage facility in Lexington, Oklahoma. The inspection was conducted on December 6, 2017 to evaluate the tank's integrity and establish a database for future inspections. Key findings included that the existing catwalk does not allow safe access to all tank appurtenances, NFPA labeling is needed, thread engagement is improper in product piping, and the secondary containment has approximately 500 feet of joint sealant deterioration and 135 feet of cracks. Mandatory, required, and recommended repairs are identified addressing these issues and others in order to comply with standards and codes from STI, NFPA, API, ASME, and the UFC. Appendices provide engineering calculations and data, drawings, inspection checklists and photographs documenting the inspection results.
