About this file

This document summarizes an inspection report for an aboveground storage tank (AST) located at the A.A.S.F. #1 Lexington fuel facility in Lexington, Oklahoma. The inspection was conducted in accordance with STI SP001 standards to evaluate tank integrity and establish a database for future inspections. Key findings included the need to extend the catwalk for safe appurtenance access, add NFPA and equipment labeling, address piping system thread engagement and leaks, and repair the secondary containment which showed 500 feet of joint seal deterioration and 135 feet of cracks. The report provides engineering data on tank specifications, ultrasonic thickness readings, and calculates remaining shell life is greater than 30 years if conditions remain unchanged. It also identifies mandatory, required and recommended repairs grouped by priority level and includes photographs documenting issues.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation for SP-POL-CMP-INSPECT-FY24-LEXINGTON OKLAHOMA to conduct inspections and repairs at the above facility, indicating the inspection report is being used to inform future work requirements.
