About this file

This document is a detailed specification (Bid Specification 4210-5617LGT) issued by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) for Emergency Crew Transport (ECT) vehicle equipment. The specification is specifically focused on siren, speaker, and emergency lighting systems, with a revision date of 7/18/2022 and authored by Benjamin Middleton.

The specification outlines precise requirements for emergency vehicle equipment, including a Whelen CORE WCX Control Center with specific build notes and features. Key equipment components include a WeCanX Knob/Slide Control Head, SA315P speaker, WeCanX Cenator lightbar, multiple warning lights (red and white) for front, side, and rear zones, a traffic advisor module, and six scene lights. The document provides exact mounting instructions, specifies light configurations, and mandates specific integration requirements such as OBDII interface options, full vehicle light and siren synchronization, and compliance with California Title 13 regulations. All control buttons must be labeled, and a completed program file must be provided with each delivered vehicle.
