About this file

This is a budget template document from the City of Minnesota for the RFP titled "Youth Climate Action Projects" under the Green Careers Exploration Program. The attachment outlines the anticipated program budget submission requirements, which constitute 20 points of the proposal evaluation. Bidders are required to submit a draft budget demonstrating how awarded funds will be allocated to complete the project's scope of services, with budget justifications aligned to deliverables outlined in the Scope of Services (Attachment A). The template provides example line items including personnel costs such as youth ambassador stipends and workshop attendance fees, as well as supplies and other direct expenses such as water sampling cups for outreach events.

The total budget cannot exceed $4,950.00, with administrative costs permitted up to 15 percent of direct costs. Bidders must itemize all budget categories including personnel, supplies, and other direct expenses with corresponding descriptions and justifications for each line item. The budget structure requires separate accounting for total direct costs, administrative costs, and a final total budget figure. The template examples illustrate typical youth-focused outreach activities with specific hourly rates ($40 per hour for workshop participation, $20 per hour for youth ambassadors) and unit costs for materials. This budget component is a mandatory submission element for organizations seeking to implement youth-led climate action initiatives through the city's Green Careers Exploration Program.
