About this file

This is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The work order serves as a task order mechanism under an existing Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract and enables IDNR to assign specific work to qualified vendors who have been pre-selected through the contract bidding process.

The work order covers hand work services at sensitive sites and specifies that vendors must accept or decline the assignment within seven days of receipt. Work must fall within the specifications of the underlying Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract Language, and vendor onsite staff must meet all experience requirements outlined in the contract specifications. The document requires detailed descriptions of work to include specifications such as herbicide type and application rates, application methods, required mortality rates, resulting stump heights, timing of treatment, and vegetation species to be treated or avoided. Pricing is structured on an hourly basis with the total project cost calculated by multiplying the vendor's hourly rate for the specified work item and work zone by the number of hours allocated for the work order. If a vendor declines the work order, IDNR offers it sequentially to vendors with the next lowest bids, and reserves the right to bid the work to other vendors if no contract vendors accept it. The work order requires IDNR staff approval with signature and date, and vendor acceptance or declination documented through signature and date.
