STATEWIDE NATURAL AREAS MANAGEMENT WORK ORDER SUMMARY

This document is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The work order template serves as the mechanism by which IDNR issues specific project assignments to qualified vendors operating under a master Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract. The work order identifies the vendor, IDNR staff approver, site superintendent or landowner, and primary job coordinator responsible for project oversight and coordination.

The work order authorizes hand work services for sensitive sites within a designated work zone. Vendor compensation is calculated on an hourly basis specific to the work item and zone, multiplied by the number of authorized hours, with a maximum project cost established by IDNR. Vendors must accept or decline the work order within seven days of receipt by providing a signed response. If declined, the work order is offered sequentially to vendors with the next lowest bids under the contract. All vendor onsite staff must meet experience requirements specified in the master contract, and all work must comply with Section 1 (Description of Supplies and Services) of the Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract. The work order requires detailed specifications including herbicide type and application rates, required mortality rates, stump heights, treatment timing, target vegetation species, and species to be protected, with all questions regarding work scope directed to the Primary Job Coordinator.
