About this file

Summary

This is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to contract with qualified vendors for specific natural area management projects. The work order template establishes the framework for individual project assignments under the broader Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, requiring vendors to either accept or decline each work order within seven days of receipt. If a vendor declines, the next lowest bidder receives the opportunity to accept the work, and if no contract vendors accept, IDNR reserves the right to bid the work to other vendors.

The work order specifies that all services must fall within the contract specifications and that vendor onsite staff must meet all experience requirements established in the underlying Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract. Work items are categorized by work zones and sites, with detailed descriptions required on page two of the work order. Pricing is structured as an hourly cost multiplied by the number of hours required for each specific work order, with a maximum project cost established for each assignment. The document includes fields for IDNR staff approval, vendor acceptance/decline, project start and end dates, and identifies the Primary Job Coordinator and Site Superintendent responsible for project oversight. All work must adhere to Section 1 of the signed Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, including specifications for activities such as herbicide applications, mortality rates, stump heights, treatment timing, and vegetation species management.
