About this file
This is a construction detail attachment for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Microsurfacing and Slurry Seal Pavement System project (Contract T2507). The document provides specifications and technical requirements for the pavement treatment system to be applied across designated roadway sections. The project involves the application of microsurfacing and slurry seal materials to existing pavement surfaces, with detailed specifications outlining material composition, application methods, quality standards, and performance requirements. The scope includes surface preparation, material mixing and application procedures, curing times, and acceptance criteria to ensure durability and functionality of the finished pavement system.
The attachment contains construction specifications detailing material gradation requirements, binder specifications, aggregate quality standards, and application procedures specific to the microsurfacing and slurry seal treatment. Pricing for this work is typically structured based on unit costs per square yard or ton of material applied, with payment contingent upon completion of work in accordance with specifications and quality assurance testing. The document serves as a technical reference for contractors bidding on the project, establishing the baseline requirements and standards that must be met during construction and quality control phases to ensure project acceptance and payment authorization.
