About this file

File Summary

This is a Price Schedule attachment (Attachment 3) for an Invitation for Bid (IFB 128764) issued by the City of Fairfax, Virginia for grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping services, and snow removal. The price schedule is divided into five distinct service categories: Right-of-Way Mowing, Fairfax City Public Schools grounds maintenance, Fairfax City Cemetery maintenance, Mowing of Locations in Fairfax, and Snow Removal services. For Right-of-Way and Locations in Fairfax services, contractors must bid a unit price for a single mowing event across all designated locations, with an estimated annual quantity of 30 cuttings, and the lowest bidder will be selected for award. Public Schools services include routine grounds maintenance (30 cuttings annually at four schools) and non-routine services such as fertilizing, tree and shrub care, and spring and fall clean-ups scheduled multiple times per year. Cemetery services encompass mowing (10 acres, 30 cuttings annually), mechanical edging (550 linear feet, 14 times annually), weed control on hard surfaces (83,420 square feet, 14 times annually), trimming (39,000 linear feet, 30 times annually), and leaf removal (10 acres, 2 times annually). Snow Removal services are available for award to multiple contractors based on hourly labor rates for vehicle snow plowing and optional shoveling services.

All contractors must submit contact information for a local representative available between 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. The price schedule format is mandatory, and bidders must complete all applicable tabs based on their proposed services; deviation from the format or inclusion of pricing information in documents other than this schedule may result in a non-responsive bid determination. Contractors must provide labor rates for on-call services including Working Foreman, Grounds Person, and Full Crew positions at both regular and emergency rates, as well as hourly labor rates and materials markup percentages for time-and-materials work not otherwise listed. The estimated annual quantities provided are for evaluation purposes only; the City reserves the right to require more or fewer services in any given year. Award decisions will be based on the lowest bid for the primary line items in each category.
