About this file
This document is a floor plan and specification sheet for a floor coating repair project at the USDA-NCAH Building 520 in Ames, Iowa. The project involves removing existing epoxy coating in Rooms 105, 106, 107, and 108, and installing a new 3/4" plywood sub-floor with a 6-inch integral base and floor coating. The total floor area for new coating is approximately 1,016 square feet, with 202 linear feet of integral base to be installed.
Key specifications include maintaining existing door configurations, providing transition strips at door openings and floor drains, and ensuring the new floor coating resists cracking and provides good traction when wet. The project is classified under NAICS code 238330 for Flooring Contractors, with a small business size standard of $19 million. The estimated project magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000, targeting a modular animal research building constructed in 2008 with a deteriorating floor coating system.
