This floor needs a new coating. The new floor coating must resist cracking from any structural movement in order to maintain integrity while being easy to clean. The floor coating must also have good traction when wet to prevent caretakers from falling.

The existing fiberglass mat sealed in resin over ¾” plywood is to remain. New ¾” tongue and grove plywood shall be installed over the existing subfloor fastened with construction adhesive and screws. A troweled Stonhard Stonclad GS epoxy shall be used to form new 6” integral cove base. The new subfloor and 6” cove base shall be coated with a minimum of 30 mils of Stonchem 441 polyurea-polyurethane hybrid coating system with 90 grit texture 12 white aluminum oxide mixed into a suspension with the Pewter colored Stonkote HT4 topcoat and applied in the areas designated on attached drawing A-2.0. Provide and install any necessary transition strips at the door openings or floor drain assemblies as required.
The total area is approximately 1016 square feet, with approximately 202 linear feet of new 6” integral cove base. No gaps or voids shall be present between the new cove base and the wall. Attached are drawings G-001, A-2.0 and Photos 1- 6 with building 520 location, construction route and room details. Per the attached drawing room 105 and 106 will need the existing epoxy floor and cove base coating removed.
