About this file
This file is a product specification for the AXIS P4705-PLVE Panoramic Camera, a dual-sensor surveillance camera designed for the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park's fire and intrusion alarm system replacement project. The camera features two 2 MP sensors with 30 fps performance, a 360-degree infrared capability, and advanced technologies including Lightfinder, Forensic Wide Dynamic Range, and a deep learning processing unit. Key technical specifications include varifocal 3.3-8.1 mm lens, automatic day/night functionality, remote zoom and focus capabilities, and extensive cybersecurity features such as TPM 2.0, secure boot, and encrypted file systems.
The camera is part of a broader solicitation (140P6425B0009) by the National Park Service for a fire and intrusion alarm system replacement at the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Site. The project is valued between $250,000 and $500,000, will be a firm-fixed price contract, and is set aside 100% for small businesses. The work is anticipated to begin in July 2025 and will involve removing existing fire and intrusion alarm systems from five buildings and installing new wireless systems. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have a UEI number to be eligible. The solicitation will be managed by Contracting Officer Jarrod Brown.

Highlighted capabilities AXIS Object Analytics
AXIS Object Analytics is a preinstalled, multifeatured video analytics that detects and classifies humans, vehicles, and types of vehicles. Thanks to AI-based algorithms and be-havioral conditions, it analyzes the scene and their spatial behavior within – all tailored to your specific needs. Scal-able and edge-based, it requires minimum effort to set up and supports various scenarios running simultaneously.
Axis Edge Vault
Axis Edge Vault is the hardware-based cybersecurity plat-form that safeguards the Axis device. It forms the founda-tion that all secure operations depend on and offer features to protect the device’s identity, safeguard its integrity and protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. For instance, secure boot ensures that a device can boot only with signed OS, which prevents physical supply chain tam-pering. With signed OS, the device is also able to validate new device software before accepting to install it. And the secure keystore is the critical building-block for protect-ing cryptographic information used for secure communica-tion (IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS, Axis device ID, access control keys etc.) against malicious extraction in the event of a secu-rity breach. The secure keystore and secure connections are provided through a Common Criteria or FIPS 140 certified hardware-based cryptographic computing module.
Furthermore, signed video ensures that video evidence can be verified as untampered. Each camera uses its unique video signing key, which is securely stored in the secure keystore, to add a signature into the video stream allowing video to be traced back to the Axis camera from where it originated.
To read more about Axis Edge Vault, go to axis.com/solu-tions/edge-vault.
Forensic WDR
Axis cameras with wide dynamic range (WDR) technology make the difference between seeing important forensic de-tails clearly and seeing nothing but a blur in challenging light conditions. The difference between the darkest and the brightest spots can spell trouble for image usability and clarity. Forensic WDR effectively reduces visible noise and artifacts to deliver video tuned for maximal forensic usabil-ity.
Zipstream
The Axis Zipstream technology preserves all the important forensic in the video stream while lowering bandwidth and storage requirements by an average of 50%. Zipstream also includes three intelligent algorithms, which ensure that rel-evant forensic information is identified, recorded, and sent in full resolution and frame rate.
