About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation #140P6425B0009, a Fire and Intrusion Alarm Replacement project for the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Site. The Q&A covers technical details for installing new fire and security alarm systems across multiple buildings (16, 22, 26, 30, and 277), including specifics on wireless and wired device requirements, camera systems, network configurations, and installation parameters. Key details include wireless fire alarm devices for conditioned buildings, wired devices for unconditioned spaces, a requirement to maintain existing systems during installation, 30-day video storage, motion-activated camera recording, and the need to integrate new systems with Milestone camera platforms. The project allows equipment substitutions provided they meet salient characteristics, and work is generally to be performed during standard business hours with prior approval required for after-hours work.
