** Mountain Thin #5-25 has approximately 2000 trees per acre (TPA) in approximately 60% of the unit. The Unit was planted in 1984 at a 10x10 foot spacing with Ponderosa Pine, Douglas fir, and Jeffery Pine (414 TPA). The remaining trees per acre, mostly made up of Knobcone pine natural regeneration, account for an estimated 1700 trees per acre. Most of these "naturals" are highly suppressed trees growing entwined in the brush, they have small diameters, are very spindly and will NOT be left as desirable leave trees.
