The following are answers to questions submitted by prospective offerors and resultant changes to the project specifications:
1. SECTION 073130
2.01 WOOD SHAKES
Question: The spec calls for both fire treated (Certiguard ) shakes and CCA preservative shakes.
Both of these treatments cannot be done at the same time. If the fire treatment is required is it class C, Class B or assembly rating A.
Answer:
Add the following to 2.01 Wood Shakes: The shingles should be the CCA preservative treated not the fire treatment.

2. SECTION 073130
2.02 BUILDING FELT
Question: The spec calls for 30# felt materials for underlayment, but at the same time calls for a self-adhering underlayment. I have been advised that this needs to be one or the other.
Answer: The felt is not needed with the application of the ice and water shield plus breather.
3. SECTION 081400, WOOD DOORS
Remove Section 073130, 2.02 Building Felt
Question: The Wood door calls for standard which does not match what is there, which is much thicker due to material added to it. Standard door hardware won't fit.
Answer: The doors are for the new openings. Of the existing doors one stays in place and the other gets mounted on the new wall so it appears to still be in the frame when standing outside the doorway looking in.
4. DRAWINGS SHEET 12 OF 15 – WALL DETAILS
Question: The Cedar finished carpentry calls for 1 inch which is not the standard. The standard is 3/4 inch. The 1 inch would need to be milled down to fit.
Answer: The label reads: "Double thickness of random width split cedar boards approximately 1" thick with staggered laps." This means that the two layers of cedar boards should total about 1" in thickness.
Each layer should be of the same thickness, so ideally two layers of 1/2" thick cedar boards.
