About this file

This document presents Additional Terms and Conditions for herbicide spraying services contracted by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for the Splinter Hill Fauna Preserve tract during Fiscal Year 2026. The scope of work involves herbicide application to control Cogon grass, an invasive species, across the designated wildlife management area. The project requires contractors to provide specialized equipment, personnel, and materials necessary for effective herbicide treatment of affected acreage. Bidders must comply with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and DCNR specifications during application. The terms establish performance standards, insurance requirements, and liability expectations for the selected contractor.

The additional terms and conditions establish specific operational and administrative requirements beyond standard contract language, including worker qualifications, equipment maintenance standards, and environmental compliance obligations. Contractors must maintain appropriate licensing and certifications for herbicide application in Alabama and provide documentation of insurance coverage. The terms address weather-related work restrictions, chemical handling procedures, and reporting requirements for application activities. Payment terms, invoicing procedures, and site access protocols are defined to facilitate project execution. All work must be performed in accordance with state pesticide regulations, wildlife management best practices, and any specific restrictions related to the Splinter Hill Fauna Preserve property to protect sensitive ecological resources.
