About this file

This is Addendum No. 3 to a Centralized Request for Quote (CRFQ) issued by the West Virginia Department of Administration Purchasing Division for construction renovations at Camp Dawson Building 244, managed by the West Virginia Army National Guard. The addendum modifies the original solicitation (CRFQ ADJ2700000012) by revising project specifications and drawings, with the bid opening date and time remaining September 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. EST. Key modifications include revisions to door hardware specifications (Section 087100), replacements of sheets A101, A302, and A601, and additions to the general notes regarding kitchen equipment relocation and HVAC emergency shutdown pushbuttons. The mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on August 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. EST, and vendor technical questions were due by August 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EST. The project scope encompasses labor, materials, and associated costs to complete renovations to Building 244, with two add alternate line items for replacement of kitchen hoods (Item 2) and replacement of a walk-in cooler/freezer with foundations, slab, and vestibule (Item 3).

The solicitation requires vendors to acknowledge receipt of all addenda and submit acknowledgment forms with their bids, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid disqualification. Door hardware specifications are detailed extensively, including requirements for hinges, locks, exit devices, closers, cylinders, and keying systems from scheduled manufacturers such as Schlage, Von Duprin, Ives, LCN, and Zero International. The project involves coordination with multiple trades, including electrical systems for electrified hardware, and compliance with fire-rated door assembly standards, accessibility requirements, and various national standards (NFPA, ANSI, UL). Bidders must be qualified architectural hardware suppliers with minimum five years of experience and must employ or engage certified Architectural Hardware Consultants. All bid submissions should be directed to the Department of Administration Purchasing Division at 2019 Washington Street East, Charleston, WV 25305, with inquiries directed to buyer David H. Pauline at 304-558-0067 or david.h.pauline@wv.gov.
