About this file
This Addendum Number 2 modifies the contract documents for the Rehabilitate Maintenance Building Loading Dock project at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, issued by the Louisville Regional Airport Authority on August 14, 2026. The addendum addresses revisions to plan sheets and contractor questions submitted during the bidding process. A mandatory site visit for prospective bidders was conducted on August 12, 2026 at 9:30 AM. Key modifications include revisions to Sheet A500 P100, specifically changing Note 23 from "RE: 4/A200" to "RE: 4/A103" and reducing the guard rail quantity from 185 linear feet to 140 linear feet (approximately 75 LF adjacent to the building and 65 LF on top of the retaining wall). The guard rail must meet KYTC Standard Drawing No. RBR-001-13 with end treatments required. Additional clarifications address existing trench drain and drain tile protection, pavement specifications referencing Sheet S101, relocation of access control and electronic surveillance systems associated with man door relocations, metal awning/welded steel canopy details per Sheet A500 Section 6, and dock leveler specifications per Addendum No. 1 with installation per Section 11 13 00.
The addendum clarifies that no electrical short circuit, coordination, or arc-flash studies were conducted; no geotechnical investigation was performed; and no contaminated soils have been recorded for the site. The Louisville Regional Airport Authority will provide record data and facility access to the selected bidder upon request prior to construction. No alternates or unit prices are required, and no Buy American provisions apply to the contract. The Contractor must maintain the existing fire alarm system throughout construction and coordinate any modifications with the LRAA through the Construction Inspector. Working hours, laydown areas, and dock operability will be coordinated with the LRAA prior to construction commencement to accommodate both Contractor needs and LRAA operations. Prevailing wage requirements apply per Section 2 of the Special Conditions. The project includes standard insurance and bonding requirements, with Builder's Risk versus Contractor's Protective Liability provisions detailed in Section I 1.C of the Special Conditions.
