About this file

This document is an Addendum (#1) to the technical specifications for the Clay County Courthouse Renovation project in Green Cove Springs, Florida, specifically detailing Section 08 4100 for Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefront. The specification covers the requirements for exterior aluminum framed glazed storefront systems and aluminum entrance doors, with primary components including the Kawneer Corporation 451 Tri-Fab (2" x 4.5" profile) storefront system. Alternative manufacturers such as EFCO, YYK, Vistawall, and Tubelite are also acceptable, provided they meet the specified performance and design criteria.

The technical specification provides comprehensive details on material requirements, fabrication standards, and installation guidelines. Performance requirements include specific standards for air infiltration (maximum 0.06 CFM per square foot), water infiltration resistance, structural loading, thermal transmittance, and condensation resistance. The aluminum framing system must withstand wind loads, temperature variations, and meet strict dimensional tolerances, with installation requiring precise alignment and anchoring. The specified finish is Kawneer Permacoat™ AAMA 2604 Powder Coating in white, intended to match existing storefront conditions. Installers must have a minimum of two years documented experience and conform to accessibility code requirements for hardware placement and door operation forces.
