About this file
This is Addendum #1 to a Request for Proposals issued by the New York Education Department (ESD) for pre-qualified providers of Information Technology goods and services. The addendum revises Section IV, subsection 3 of the original RFP to expand the scope of work available to qualified contractors. The revised scope encompasses a comprehensive range of IT services and products, including consulting, implementation, training, and support for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 or newer; hosting, programming, and development of applications and websites utilizing technologies such as Drupal, Azure, AWS, SQL Server, and Microsoft Power Platform; and infrastructure solutions spanning virtual servers and desktops, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, server and storage systems, Microsoft Dynamics Power Apps, data warehousing, and mobile device services. The scope also includes general application and cloud development, audio/visual and VoIP systems, desktop PC management, software services such as helpdesk solutions, communications infrastructure, equipment deployment and support, hardware decommissioning, AV integration services, HVAC services, and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Intelligent Automation with associated consulting, strategy, implementation, and governance services.
The original solicitation anticipates awarding a contract based on the expanded scope of work to establish a list of pre-qualified firms capable of performing consulting services and providing purchasing options for the ESD's Information Systems infrastructure. The anticipated contract duration is three years with an option to extend for up to one additional year, after which ESD intends to issue a new solicitation. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, response dates, or due dates are identified in this addendum document. The solicitation indicates no specific contracting goals for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, Minority Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, or Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and no prior identical or substantially similar contracts have been awarded within the past five years.
