About this file

This document is an Addendum # 1 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) # 2025-003 issued by the City of Salem, Virginia for citywide shredding services. The ITB requests sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide the collection and on-site shredding of confidential and non-confidential paper and mixed media at various City departments. The current contractor is 1st Choice Shredding, and the service frequency varies from every 4 weeks to every 8 weeks depending on the location. The ITB provides details on the console and bin sizes and quantities at each location. Vendors are instructed to use the provided Rate per Service Visit pricing, rather than pricing per box, which will be added to the additional fees section.

The Addendum also clarifies that all locations are subject to on-call services, and the City reserves the right to add additional locations. Bids are due on July 11, 2024, at 3:00 PM, and the signed Addendum must be included in the bid submittal. No further details on pricing terms, set asides, funding requirements, or contract term are provided in this Addendum.
