Site Requirements

General Each location should have an area large enough to accommodate the necessary amount of EPBs along with printers and other peripherals. The locationmust also have adequate electrical to support the Touchpad units. A location with the capability to receiveMiFi service is highly preferred, but not strictly required.

Disaster Recovery/Backup Information

The Precinct Central platform employs resilient datamanagement processes and stable off-the-shelf database technologies tomanage, protect andmaintain integrity of election data. The consistent application of this methodology is used at everymodule of the platform to prevent data inconsistencies and identify andmonitor exception cases quickly and easily at the elections office. The following paragraphs describe themethods and procedures used at everymodule.

● Touchpad - Precinct Central Touchpads have a foolproof, fail-safe method of consistently backing up information in case of an emergency or Touchpad failure. The Touchpad system uses a transactional database to commit all transactions as the user completes the check-in process. All Touchpads in the precinct communicate and update check-in data to each other to create data redundancy. The Touchpads communicate via a Bluetooth and/orMiFi connection. This provides the precinct level backup to communicate without Internet in the case of a lost or broken precinctMiFi connection.

● Cloud Server - The PCCloud server platform is an independently scalable AmazonWeb Services hosted cloud instance. Precinct Central uses Relational Database Service (RDS) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) platforms of AmazonWeb Services to independently control andmanage the capacity needed to host the application functionality. Precinct Central uses the EC2 platform to provide an independent self-contained server for each customer. This method isolates data and transactions from one customer to another and prevents any IT and/or network issues from propagating. Amazon EC2 provides for rapid provisioning and startup leading to near instant scalability for early voting and Election Day demands. The

EC2 platform allows for an instance to be saved as an AmazonMachine Image (AMI) that allows quick setup of redundant servers for extremely high volume jurisdictions.

Customer’s sole and exclusive remedy for Vendor’s breach of this warranty shall be that Vendor shall use commercially reasonable efforts to correct such errors or modify the Service to achieve thematerial functionality within a reasonable period of time.

All hardware purchased through Tenex comes with a standardmanufacturer warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase. The basic warranty includes any and all manufacturing defects identified by the state or Tenex. Repairs required due to abuse or non-standard operation are excluded from the basic warranty coverage. Anywarranty claims will be facilitated through Tenex.

Integration Services

Precinct Central is compatible with all voter registration systems, including statewide or county registration systems. The Tenex team has extensive experience in large system data conversion and data management/movement. This expertise is reflected in the success of Precinct Central in multiple jurisdictions where data has been converted from various voter registration systems.

Precinct Central has integrated with various county voter registration systems such asMega Profile, Triad VR

Systems (Ohio), Voter Focus (Florida), DIMS, BPro, KNOWiNK, NTS, Votec and others. At the state level, Precinct

Central has been integrated with the State of Florida.

Tenex has broken the data generation and transferring problem into a small, independent, and cohesive set of utilities; all packaged into a programmodule called the Precinct Central Data Studio. This approach allows the generation and customization of the data import to be a small and focused effort. Some of the key features of the data integrationmodule include:

● Flexible file formats: Data Studio provides the ability to set up data scripts for multiple data files depending on file formats provided by the client. This provides excellent flexibility for the customer as there are usually limitations in file format and reporting in the source systems.

● Multiple data sources: Data Studio has the ability tomanage data from varying data sources. Tenex has aggregated data from different source systems, such as voter registration and ballot ordering systems, and using the flexibility built into the Data Studio, assembled all data elements for use in the ePollbook

● Powerful scripting: Data Studio scripting engine provides an interface where the administrator can set up scripts in a defined order and set up all business rules in the script.

● Ability tomonitor: As data is being loaded, the end user has visibility into all aspects of the process and is provided details on exactly which step is currently running.

If a person is not located in the voter database, a step-by-step form allows the election worker to complete voter registration directly on the Touchpad. At the end of the process, a paper copy can be printed for signature capture, or the signature can be captured on the screen.

Pre-Election Services

Tenexwill provide support for the rollout of the ePollbooks for the 2024 election cycle. The specific support requirements and roles will be discussed during project planning. Tenex supports all customers during pre-election activities with extended operating hours as well as onsite support, if needed.

Tenex provides remote support via email, web, and phone; the telephone number is toll-free. This support is available to help with both technical and operational questions. Tenex will also provide a service line telephone number that is answered every day during business hours and has extended hours during elections.
