About this file

The file contains bid, performance, and payment bonds for the 2025 Berthoud Road Improvements Project issued by the Town of Berthoud, Colorado. The project involves asphalt mill and overlay of multiple roadways, reconstruction of one alley, and a curb-gutter-sidewalk project at Spartan Ave, with additional adjacent roadway improvement work including curb, gutter, drain pan, and sidewalk construction. The bonds are standard contractual documents that provide financial guarantees for the project, ensuring the contractor will perform the work as specified and pay all required subcontractors and suppliers.

The bonds outline the financial protections for the Town of Berthoud, with the contractor and surety jointly bound to fulfill contract obligations. The performance bond guarantees satisfactory project completion, while the payment bond ensures timely payment to all labor and material providers. The project is expected to be completed before August 31, 2025, with the bonds providing a two-year window for any potential claims or actions against the contractor or surety. The documents are prepared in compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S. §§ 38-26-105 and 106) and include provisions for handling any contract modifications or time extensions.
