About this file
This hydrostatics report provides technical specifications for a floating pier barge to be procured by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Philadelphia under solicitation number W912BU-23-B-0016. The report details the principal characteristics and hydrostatics of the 328-foot long by 100-foot wide barge-like vessel across a range of displacements and drafts up to 18 feet. Key specifications include a molded depth of 18 feet at the centerline, an upper ice waterline of 8 feet above the baseline, and a block coefficient of 0.73 at the design waterline. The hydrostatics table lists metrics such as displacement, longitudinal center of buoyancy, vertical center of buoyancy, transverse metacenter height, and other relevant properties over the full loading range. This technical data will support the Corps' procurement of a floating pier barge for offloading cargo and transport at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

Summary
This report summarizes hydrostatic properties of the barge-like floating pier across a range of displacements including the loading conditions described in Reference 1. The calculations are based on the hull geometry described in Reference 2, which includes the thickness of the hull plating. References 3 and 4 include the General Hydrostatics (GHS) run file and the output of the results reported herein.
