The bid closing date is April 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time, with an open/issue date of April 10, 2026. The contract term extends from the award date through June 30, 2027, with options for GMCS to renew the agreement for up to seven additional one-year periods, with the final renewal term ending June 30, 2034. The F.O.B. point is destination, and all questions must be submitted through the GMCS Bonfire eBidding Portal.
The contract is structured as a firm fixed-price agreement with terms of Net 30 days unless otherwise specified. The district reserves the right to make multiple awards per area based on the lowest responsive bid and may cancel and award to the next-lowest bidder if the primary contractor cannot fulfill requirements. Contractors must possess all necessary licenses and permits, maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including worker's compensation, automobile liability, and commercial liability, and comply with all federal, state, local, and Navajo Nation environmental regulations. The contractor assumes full responsibility for equipment maintenance, cleanup of spilled trash, employee safety on active school campuses, and indemnification of the district. Upon renewal, contractors may request price adjustments supported by documentation of increased costs compared to the original bid price.
