Each bidder is required to submit a preliminary construction schedule and project approach as part of their bid proposal to demonstrate their understanding of the project scope, work sequencing, and ability to complete the work within the specified contract time.
The preliminary construction schedule and project approach submittal must include a CPM or Gantt chart schedule with anticipated project duration and major milestones, a narrative describing the proposed construction approach and crew organization, identification of long-lead procurement items such as structural steel, HVAC equipment, and apparatus bay doors with procurement strategies, a description of site safety and quality control measures, identification of anticipated challenges with mitigation strategies, and a list of major subcontractors. The submitted preliminary schedule is conceptual in nature and will not serve as the contract baseline schedule. The successful bidder will be required to submit a detailed Critical Path Method construction schedule meeting all contract requirements within a specified timeframe after Notice of Award or Notice to Proceed.
