About this file
This is a Questions and Responses document for USCG Solicitation 51291PR260000023 regarding transformer enclosure replacement. The document does not address specific contract terms, pricing, or award details, but rather clarifies technical and procedural requirements based on twelve questions submitted by potential offerors.
The solicitation pertains to replacing a 750 KVA transformer enclosure (currently Type 3R) at a USCG facility. Key technical specifications include: 480V primary and 450V secondary voltage, existing transformer serial number 28367, and a requirement for twelve-inch minimum clearance from walls and obstructions at ventilation openings. The US Coast Guard will serve as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). The USCG clarified that the requirement is open to any small business vendor capable of performing the work and is not sole-source; Amendment 1 removed references to any specific contractor. Contractors may fabricate and ship the replacement enclosure prior to installation, but remain responsible for onsite installation. Site visits are not currently scheduled, though additional photographs of the existing transformer and surrounding area have been provided. The only constraints on performance are the timeframes specified in the Statement of Work.
