About this file
This is a Scope of Work document prepared for the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands related to a Hand Cut & Pile forestry services contract. The project encompasses 31 total acres of private property located in Summit County, with Unit 2 containing 13.75 acres requiring hand-cut and pile services across 75 yards. The primary objective is to improve forest health conditions by reducing fuel buildup through removal of dead standing, live standing, downed, and diseased trees, with completion required by October 9th, 2026. A mandatory in-person site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at Oakley City Hall parking lot (960 W Center Street), where bidders must meet at the specified location and follow the project manager via 4x4 vehicles to the project site. Per Utah Procurement Rule R33-6-103, attendance by an authorized representative is mandatory for the entire site visit duration; late arrivals will be prohibited from participating and continuing with the bid process, and failure to attend will result in automatic bid disqualification.
Participation in this solicitation is restricted to prequalified contractors only, and interested vendors must be listed on the current Pre-approved/Pre-qualified Vendor list to submit a bid. An attendance log will be maintained documenting all attendees, their representing entities, contact information, site visit minutes, and distributed documents, which will be published as an addendum to the procurement record.
