RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS

Q1. Would it be possible to get electrical as-built plans for the Port? Obtaining these drawings would be very helpful in order to price electrical accordingly as we need to know where we can get different levels of power supply, especially for the new booth location.

A1. Contractor shall field verify electrical capacity and equipment. Electrical drawings will be sent to contractors who have completed and submitted an SBU form.

Q2. This question was along with the previous question, what power supply is available near the new booth location?

A2. Contractor shall field verify electrical capacity and equipment. Electrical drawings will be sent to contractors who have completed and submitted an SBU form.

Q3. I was stated at the site visit that the items listed in section 6 of the statement of work are the items needing to be designed, and section 7 is the section that is already designed. Can you please confirm as there were some questions as to which section was which.

A3. Section 6 is Design/Build. Section 7 is construction only. There are separate CLINs for design items for design/build and CLINs for just construction.

Q4. For the exit control system, are there vehicle loops required as a part of the exit system?

A4. Yes.

Q5. The spec for the exit control system states that there are intercom capabilities desired, however at the site visit they stated that the system does not need to be a networked system.

Where is the intercom supposed to be able to communicate to?

A5. Per the Statement of Work, it needs to communicate with the Cargo Lobby.

Q7. If wireless equipment is not capable of the desired capabilities, would there be an amendment placed to allow time to figure out the requirements to place a network system?

A7. Networked or Non-Networked refers to the ticket dispensers and readers communicating with each other and, in some cases, back to a database. Per the Statement of Work, we are requiring a non-networked system, or at least one that is installed in that configuration. There is conduit that runs to the existing ticket readers that can be utilized for low-voltage wiring for the intercom system.

Q8. For the blast film on exterior windows, would it be possible to shut down any vehicle lanes as needed in order to allow access for a lift to get to the windows as needed? This would be coordinated with CBP onsite.

A8. Work would need to be coordinated to occur during non-peak hours, so as to minimize the impact to CBP operations.
