1. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 Who is the Siemens Project Manager for St. Cloud? Angela Mulinix is the COR for the equipment contract. Corinne Schrantz will be acting as the Technical Monitor for both equipment and construction issues locally at the St. Cloud site.

The Siemens Project Manager is Dan Weathers.

2. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 What are the normal working hours for contractors at St.

Cloud? Will nightwork be approved for the project?

Normal working hours are 8-4:30. Work that is disruptive to patient areas may be coordinated and scheduled as after-hours with facility approval.

3. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 What are the working hours of the clinic area where the project will take place?

Clinic hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. M-F, 8-4:30 Saturday, and staff is present on Sunday, though clinic is locked.

4. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 Where is the laydown and staging areas for the site? Please see attached drawing

5. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 What parking is available? Please see attached drawing

6. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 Is the work area noise sensitive? Yes. As noted in the drawings, after hours work will need to be coordinated for work causing excessive noise or vibration.

9. 11/27/2017 11/30/2017 What is the lead time for the Siemens delivery of the equipment?

The turnaround time for Siemens is 6-8 weeks – but really the construction contractor will not be coordinating the delivery date with the vendor – the VA (Biomedical engineer rep from each site and Angie Mulinix) will be working with Siemens to secure the delivery date for the equipment once we have a confirmed construction schedule from the awarded contractor.

10. 11/27/2017 12/4/2017 How thick is the lead lining in the walls? Refer to sheet 2-AN101, Note 2 and Keyed Note

3. Lead lining noted to be a minimum of 1/16” thick.

11. 11/27/2017 12/5/2017 Do the doors to the RF Room contain any sensors? Yes, they contain door switches. However, these switches are not to be connected to the new system as indicated in the Drawings. Please disregard note 17 on 2-E300 and that portion of Detail 2 on the same drawing indicating connection of door switches.

12. 11/28/2017 12/4/2017 Why was Guldmann Inc Patient Lifts not considered as the basis of the spec in DIV 11.73.00 on this project?

Guldmann Products make up the majority of lifts presently utilized at the St. Cloud VA. Our lifts are superior in that the rails span a greater distance between attachments, are always offered with continuous charging rails, integrated scale and have a lower cost of overall ownership. Adding a different brand (Liko) of lifts is not in the best interest when it comes to facility maintenance and staff training aspects. Is there any way this can be removed from the rfq and move to owner provided? Any light you can shed on how to work to remedy this in the interest of our customer and us.

There is no ceiling mounted lift included in this project for St. Cloud.
