GENERAL NOTES

A. Floors in the new addition are designed to align with floors in the existing building . The addition is anticipated to expand vertically up to floor level 8 and be aligned at all floors. Due to this tight floor to floor area on the 6th Floor, above ceiling coordination is critical so that all trades can install the work as designed.

B. All trades with work above the ceiling are required to participate in the above ceiling coordination process prior to any shop drawings/fabrication/installation. Any work fabricated or installed prior to the completion of the coordination process is subject to rejection.

Refer to Specification Section 23 05 11 Common Work for HVAC for a description of the coordination process.

C. Details have been provided on this sheet to demonstrate the design team's solutions to some of the tighter conditions. Note that sprinkler pipes will not fit between ductwork and lights in many cases.

D. Ceilings have been lowered the minimum amount to accomodate a variety of conditions. Contractor will be required to maintain the ceiling heights shown or demonstrate through the coordination process that the design solutions are not achievable.
