Question 1: The new concrete pad for ACCU-1 doesn't specify a thickness for the slab. Can you please let us know the thickness and if there is any footing required for this concrete equipment pad?

Response 1: See attached sketch SK-MH-702.1.

Question 2 ; Please provide more detail on the cabinets and storage cabinets. Which of these are to be plastic laminate which are to be stainless steel metal? As the finish plan says plastic laminate, but there is a spec section for stainless steel cabinets.

Response 2: The lab casework is all metal, configuration as shown, materials and construction per Section 123100.

Question 3: For the epoxy countertops what is the thickness required.

Response 3: Per elevations 5 & 6/AS-201, countertop is 1-1/2” thick.

Question 4: Please provide measurements and dimensions on the plan to show how big the lab room is, the length of the new mechanical room wall, the existing window sizes, etc.

Response 4: Please see attached sketch SK-AS-110.1 with dimensions as reference. Typical existing windows are width 36”, height 79” and sill @ 36” A.F.F. Sill height and window height will need to be V.I.F.

Question 5: Please provide both interior and exterior elevations of the mechanical room set up, as we are not able to price out blocking up the wall or creating new openings for the new ductwork without this detail.

Response 5: New ductwork is to be routed through the existing openings as shown on MH-102. The only required new opening is for a condensate drain from the indoor coil drain pan. Please see attached pictures for additional reference.

Please indicate these partitions on the floor plan Response: 6: No furring partition in the project. Please ignore this detail.

Question 7: There is a plan page on scaffolding. Please detail why and where this scaffolding would be required. As a manlift would be sufficient for this work.

Response 7: Scaffolding drawing was provided as reference only. Contractor to determine what equipment is necessary for completion of work. A manlift would be acceptable if all specified and governing safety requirements are met.

Question 8: Please provide a proper paint schedule as on the Mechanical and Sprinkler plans there is a note to paint all exposed sprinkler piping and all exterior ductwork. The only paint listed on the finish schedule is a Sherwin-williams wall paint

Response 8: All exterior ductwork shall be painted to match the existing façade as noted on drawing MH-102. Per specification 09 91 00 Painting, Section 3.12D all exposed fire protection piping should be painted federal safety red.
