About this file

This document is a Certification Pursuant to Section 103-g of the New York State General Municipal Law for Iranian Energy Sector Divestment, specifically related to a potential HVAC Maintenance and Repairs contract for the City of Schenectady, New York. The certification requires bidders to affirm that they are not on a list of entities with investments in Iran's energy sector, as defined by New York State Finance Law.

The certification mandates that bidders declare they have no current investments in Iran's energy sector, or if they do, they must provide detailed explanations. Two potential exemption pathways exist: (1) investments made before April 12, 2012 that have not been expanded, with a formal plan to cease Iranian investments, or (2) a determination by the political subdivision that the goods or services are necessary to perform its functions. Bidders must sign and submit this form with their proposal, and failure to comply will result in the bid being ineligible for award.
