About this file

This is a vendor checklist document for the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division in Florida, supporting a Request for Professional Services (RPS) for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services related to the Goodlette-Frank Road Ditch Improvements Section-A project. The County seeks qualified proposers to provide CEI services during the construction phase of the transportation project, with the selected consultant serving as the liaison between the County and the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and special provisions. The CEI firm will be responsible for observing contractor work, monitoring progress and quality, identifying discrepancies, and directing the contractor to correct observed deficiencies. The RPS document establishes the terms, conditions, and specifications that all proposers must meet or exceed to be considered for award.

Historical precedent indicates that Collier County typically allocates approximately 10% to 12% of the total construction contract value for CEI services, though this may not represent future purchasing patterns. The County has the discretion to perform CEI services through in-house resources or by outsourcing to qualified external firms. The specific pricing structure, contract term, renewal options, and detailed evaluation criteria for this particular RPS would be outlined in the complete solicitation documents and supporting exhibits referenced in the opportunity.
