Project Details

The Timp-Nebo Conservation District is working with a local landowner, as well as the Utah

Division of Water Quality, the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, and the Natural

Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) for the installation of 60 mil HDPE liner on two (2) dairy manure storage ponds. The ponds are located in the area between 4 pivots as noted on the following page. The two triangular shaped dairy manure storage ponds are located in the

Northeast and Southeast quadrants of the space between the 4 pivots.

In preparation for the liner, the excavation, dirt work and sloping have already been completed.

The landowner has a contract with the USDA-NRCS and portions of the engineered design plans have been included courtesy of the USDA-NRCS.

North Pond Volume: 66-4 acre feet

South Pond Volume: 76.2 acre feet

For design-specific questions, please contact USDA-NRCS engineer Shawn Stuart at shawn.stuart@usda.gov by October 9th, 2025 at 5:00pm
