About this file
This amendment to a solicitation provides responses to contractor questions regarding a project to upgrade physical security systems at the Amistad Dam Field Office. The International Boundary and Water Commission seeks a small business contractor to install high mast lighting, fencing, gates, access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV components. The responses clarify that fiber connectors must be compatible with existing systems; minor drilling is acceptable; cameras must provide night vision and observation of specific areas; and fence and lift gate specifications are attached.

191BWC2OR0006 Physical Security Upgrades - Amistad Dam
Fiber
1. What type of fiber connectors will need to be used? (Page #17 Ref #18) Whatever type that is compatible with the security components and the current runs of fiber at the facility.
2. Will there be an issue drilling through the Dam structure?
(page #16 Ref #12 G & H) Minor drilling into the walls to mount readers will not be an issue.
3. Will there be an issue drilling through the door frames that are on the dam structure? (page #16 Ref #12 G & H) No.
Camera & Motion
4. What type of cameras for PTZ and Fixed will be used? Even though manufacture named were used on the drawings there were no model number to reference to be used for the new cameras. Do we use our own discretion or use Pelco and Avigilon cameras? As long as the cameras meet our requirements, make and model don’t matter. However, night vision is required.
5. Page 15 #7 L Will the camera be place closer to the elevator or by the gate? It should be mounted in such a way that it provides complete observation of the gate and a portion of the hallway if the gate is in the open position.
6. Page 15 #8 A Will the Motion be place closer to the elevator or by the gate? It should be positioned in such a way that it will monitor persons who may penetrate the gate.
Fence
7. Is there a spec or detail on the F7 fence? See attached FF7 Chain Link Fence Details
8. Is there a manufacturer basis of design or spec for the Lift gates 4K.? & what sizes? See response above
