About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal contract opportunity for services to remove, replace, and upgrade four motor control centers at a power plant facility in Falcon Heights, Texas. The contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing four motor control centers, installing two automatic transfer switches, updating the programmable logic controller digital program, installing a new communication system via fiber optic and CATV, and running new electrical feeders according to National Electrical Code standards. The questions provide clarification that the existing programmable logic controllers and industrial human-machine interface software located in the control room need to be updated to integrate and monitor the status of the new motor control centers, rather than establishing separate standalone displays. No award will be made until funds are available for this project solicited by the International Boundary and Water Commission United States-Mexico.
