The work includes installing a well house, water and sewer lines, wells, and demolishing existing components. A Women-Owned Small Business set-aside applies to this procurement, with bonds required at 100% of the contract value. REHABILITATE MORAN WATER TRANSMISSION LINES & REPLACE MORAN WELLS
Amendment 1
140P1420R0006
PMIS 198970 & 249646
11/4/2020
1. There is a discrepancy between the domestic hydrant in the 2nd detail on C3.0 (should be labeled
2.C3.0) and specification 331100.2.3.A.1. Please disregard the annotation text in the detail saying that the yard hydrant is to be “ADA Compliant.” The hydrant specified at 331100.2.3.A.1 is not ADA compliant and it is the hydrant that the park intends to use in this application.
2. It was identified that the awning above the side door at Station 4 has been extended since the time of the topo survey. Contractor will be required to protect the awning from damage.
3. There was some discussion about topsoil requirements. Topsoil shall be salvaged from the site then replaced prior to completion of the project per 311000. In Moran there are some areas that are currently paved and salvaging topsoil will not be possible so imported topsoil will be required per L1.0. The imported material will come from RKO pit within the park per the requirements of 312000.2.1.H. with the contractor providing compost. Screening of the material from RKO pit will be required to remove rocks greater than 3‐inches in diameter.
4. The trees in front of Snake River Land Company will need to be protected during construction. A revised drawing will be included in the next amendment.
5. In reference to the discussion about testing for hazardous materials. The contractor shall test for asbestos and lead. If hazardous materials are found, a modification may be needed to account for the costs of handling and disposal of that materials.
6. It is not anticipated that the tank will need to be drained for any of the work on C1.1. The transmission line connection requires a new valve and a connection at the edge of the tank
(exterior wall), so it is anticipated that a plug can be inserted from inside the tank before the old valve is removed, replaced, and the new valve installed, and the main connected and put into service. The well supply line can bypass the tank using piping in Moran. The contractor will need to verify that the bypass piping is in working order prior to the tie‐in and work with the park to ensure plans for disinfecting the line are in place. While the bypass is in use, Moran will have limited water supply due to the diameter of the bypass line, so the park will have a plan in place in case of structural fire. The total length of this outage (partial‐ no outage to domestic, outage to fire water) shall be no more than 8 hours.
7. The red lines from the Snake River Land Company are attached. It should be noted that these are just a draft, final as‐builts will be provided in a few months.
8. The Driller’s log from a recent monitoring well that was drilled on the north side of the highway, east of the Moran entrance station is attached.
