Questions and Answers #2
1)Q: There is a single note on sheet 9 of 28 of the plans to grout the shown shaded section of the stilling basin; this represents a significant portion of work. I do not find anywhere in the measurement and payment section that addresses grouting the stilling basin. Normally I would expect to see it in the Rip Rap Stilling Basin Bid item, however this contract does not include that particular item. If it is not included in measurement and payment, can I assume I should not include the cost in my bid?
A: The cost of placing and furnishing grout shall be included in item 11 (Impact Basin). The following sentence supplements paragraph 01150-1.07K. Item 11 – Impact Basin: Furnishing and placing grout in the downstream channel riprap is considered incidental to this item.
