About this file

This is Addendum #3 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department for the Pecan Valley Golf Course Bridge Replacement project (CPN 105401). The addendum, released September 3, 2026, modifies the original contract documents and clarifies submission procedures by directing all bidder information to a new project titled "ITB Pecan Valley Bridge Replacement." The project requires demolition and removal of existing trees, concrete sidewalks, one bridge, and two concrete abutments, with construction of new sidewalks, two new concrete abutments, and one prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge. The bridge specifications include an 8-foot-wide, 150-foot-span half-through truss design with a reinforced concrete deck system, safety rails, and expansion joint covers. A pre-bid meeting was scheduled for August 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pecan Valley Golf Course Club House (6400 Pecan Valley Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76132). The bid opening date was extended to September 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. per Addendum 2. Bidders must submit qualification packages for alternative bridge manufacturers at least 10 days prior to bid opening to the Engineer of Record (Peter Caravano) and Project Manager (Patrick Vicknair). The addendum addresses 18 questions received through August 28, 2026, the final day for questions, and confirms no pre-qualifications or financial statement submissions are required.

The construction budget is $850,000. Bidders must submit the bid form in PDF or Excel format along with a line item for total bid price (to be read aloud at bid opening), Small Business Utilization Form, Conflict of Interest form, and Bid Bond through the project portal. The specifications require a pre-approved bridge manufacturer (Contech Engineered Solutions LLC is pre-approved; alternative manufacturers must be approved by the Engineer of Record prior to bid). The bridge manufacturer must be AISC Certified Bridge Fabricator–Advanced (Major) with Fracture Critical Endorsement and Complex Coating Endorsement, employ at least two Certified Weld Inspectors, and have a Texas-licensed professional engineer in responsible charge of design. The bridge will be fabricated in sections and field-assembled using bolted connections with no field welding permitted. The Contractor is responsible for all means, methods, and equipment for erection; anchor bolt installation; deck concrete placement; leveling, shimming, and grouting of setting plates; and expansion joint installation. The bid form was corrected to reflect 16 trees at 6-inch caliper (not 46 trees at 4-inch caliper). A manufacturer representative must attend pre-construction meetings and erection, though this requirement was removed from the revised specifications. The bridge was designed for pedestrian loading only (90 psf uniform loading) with no vehicular loading, and includes utility loading of 30 pounds per lineal foot along the truss.
