2. Statement of Work/Specifications:

Whole Corn delivered to SE and SW Missouri

In order to support our Feral Swine program in Missouri, we need approximately 306 tons of whole corn (dry, mold-free, in 50-lb poly bags, on pallets and shrink wrapped) delivered, throughout a one year period, to 13 locations in SW and SE Missouri.

http://www.sam.gov/ http://www.aptac-us.org/new/Govt_Contracting/find.php

Corn Specifications:

The Corn needs to be Dry (less than 15% moisture), 98% or more clean, whole dent corn (by volume per bag) free of mold, not burned or damaged, and suitable as animal feed.

Bagging Specifications:

Corn shall be bagged for delivery. The bags shall be woven plastic “poly” bags sealed by sowing with thread. Each bag shall contain fifty (50) pounds.

Delivery Specifications:

Pallets must be side and top wrapped. No more than 40 bags per pallet or one ton per pallet. The load must be wrapped in such a way as to prevent shifting during transport and storage. Deliveries will be made to field locations, so pallets must be good solid quality to allow unloading by loader bucket and chains or straps as well as by fork lift that will be provided by USDA. There are no dock facilities at any location. If boxed trucks are used, the vendor must provide a pallet jack inside the truck box to move pallets to the back deck for unloading. Unloading equipment is not always kept at the unloading site, therefore, in order to guarantee the staging of unloading equipment, we will call to order corn on an as-needed basis, and provide a one-week notice to vendor. Vendor shall provide at least a 48-hour notice before delivery in order to receive the shipments. No Friday delivery.

There is an additional requirement to have the option of obtaining and transporting corn directly from the supplier at a cost per bag without delivery.
