This document is a Contractor Questions and Answers file for a federal contract opportunity involving roof replacement at the Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho. The project scope includes demolishing damaged fascia and replacing asphalt shingle roofs for Unit #9 and #11 at the Stanley Admin Site and a 3BR house at the North Fork site. Key details include a bid due date of August 19, 2025, with an expected award within 1-2 weeks, and a preferred work period from September 3 to October 31, 2025. The government does not require additional services such as soffit repair, structural repairs, or attic insulation.
The solicitation is issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service, with a site visit scheduled for August 8th at the Sawtooth NRA HQ Visitor Center parking lot. Contractors are expected to bid on specific quantities, including 96 square feet of potential sheathing replacement, and install ice and water shield, gable vents, and extended roof vents. No hazardous material survey is required upfront, but any discovered hazardous materials will be treated as a differing site condition. Contractors are prohibited from overnight camping at the administrative sites but may use nearby campgrounds or dispersed camping areas.
