About this file

This is a Good Faith Effort Letter Requirements document for a Texas state and local contract opportunity involving the purchase and installation of DART Rugged Laptops for a Police Department. The document outlines the mandatory format and content requirements for Good Faith Effort letters that contractors must submit when they cannot fully meet small business enterprise (SBE) subcontractor goals. Contractors must demonstrate detailed and specific reasons why established goals cannot be achieved, whether they meet part or all of the goal requirements.

Good Faith Effort letters must be submitted on company letterhead and include the solicitation number and description, the name and dollar amount or percentage commitment of any SBE subcontractor (as indicated in Attachment 1 to Exhibit G - Intent to Perform), and the authorized signatory's printed name and title with their signature. These letters serve as documentation for prime contractors who are unable to meet complete SBE participation goals but may have achieved partial compliance with the established requirements.
