The scope of this project entails repairing roads damaged by the Antelope Fire and suppression activities on forest roads and features. The work involves asphalt road repair, road reconditioning, vegetation removal, and aggregate surfacing. The repair of the roads aims to restore them to a functional state for public use, ensuring safety and usability through necessary repairs and alterations, with a focus on restoring drainage to ditches, culverts, and other drainage features.
Base Work Mobilization
Includes mobilization and demobilization to and from the project locations. This item also includes fire protection, equipment cleaning, permits, and incidentals.
Clearing and Grubbing
This work consists of clearing and grubbing within the designated limits outlined in the plans.
Construct erosion control measures as needed. Perform work within designated limits of the
Right-of-Way. Do not damage vegetation designated to remain. If damage occurs, repair or replace the vegetation in an acceptable manner approved by the COR. Where possible, preserve vegetation adjacent to bodies of water. Treat cuts or scarred surfaces of trees and shrubs with tree wound dressing. Grub deep enough to remove stumps, roots, buried logs, moss, turf, or other vegetative debris to create a smooth native surface. This includes removing the roots and shaping to a smooth surface. Clean all debris from the travel way, leaving a clean and neat appearance.
Ensure debris are clear from drainage features. Disposal is scatting unless otherwise stated in plans.

Aggregate Base
This work consists of constructing one or more courses of aggregate on a prepared surface for use as a wearing surface of the travel way and compacting and shaping the roadbed according to the established line, grade, and cross-section needed with proper moisture content or as stated in the plans. Work includes full width in designated areas and must meet Forest Service
Specification 703.05. Compaction is required.
Temporary Traffic Control
This work consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, relocating, and removing temporary traffic control devices and services as ordered for the control and protection of public traffic through the project. Advance warning arrow boards, barricades, and warning light types are designated in the MUTCD. Allow traffic through the project with minimal delays and when it is safe. Signs and warnings must be placed ahead of the work area in both directions. All equipment must be in survivable condition. Provide a plan to CO and COR before work begins.
